Decorating with Leather Books

Getting started

The Brattle works with decorators who need books by the yard based on color schemes, such as autumn-colored, cream, dark or red. If decorators are on tighter budgets, we recommend putting finer bindings at eye level and less expensive volumes on lower and higher shelves to create a more impressive overall effect. The Brattle sells leatherbound books in complete sets or by the volume. Scroll down to see the available options.

Fine Leather Bindings

We offer fine leatherbound bindings in a variety of colors, styles and sizes to suit decorators' needs and budgets. Fine bindings are available for purchase or rent. Prices vary depending on the condition of the leather and the scarcity of the book. These bindings generally range between $25 and $150 per volume. We also offer
discounts on large purchases.

Multi-Volume Sets

If you are looking for a more uniform look then buying complete sets is an option.

We sell sets to decorators as they are priced and offer discounts depending upon the amount of purchase.

Just let us know your specifications and we can work with you. If you would like books that are above 10" tall, we can accomodate this. If you want books with decorative gilt and not a lot of chipping, just let us know. The ceiling is the only limit.

Odd Volumes

Decorators often choose odd volumes to fill larger spaces or to squeeze the most out of tighter budgets, since odd volumes, cheaper than our finer bindings, are priced at $25/ea. or $15/ea. for large quantities.

While odd volumes vary in condition, we have a large inventory from which you can pick and choose.

We can usually pull together works by popular authors that appear complete but may be missing a volume or two, for a lower price.
